It fires lots of rounds in a short time. It is good up to maybe 200 meters (660 feet) at the most, after that distance it does not deal lethal damage, only wounds.
If held right, there's not much recoil. It wasn't much louder then other guns, but that is after shooting thousands of rounds and detonating a lot of C4. (B. Sharp, personal communication, April 17, 2016)
